Yerington City Council Honors WRLL All Star Teams for District & State Championships

8/11/2025 at the Yerington City Council Meeting:

Mayor John Garry and City Council members Nick Beaton, Matt Galvin, Omar Lopez & Shane Martin honored Walker River Little League All Star teams for their Nevada District 3 and Nevada State Championships.

Honored were the 8-10’s Baseball (Minors division, Coached by Joey Fanjul, Jessy Cochrane and Jack Boger, not pictured) Juniors baseball division(coached by Nate Landa, Leonel Rodriguez and Dominic Nunez, not pictured) and Seniors baseball division, coached by Brad Johnston and Toby Enochson(not pictured).

All three teams, consisting of players from Yerington, Schurz and Smith, won their respective District Championship. The Seniors Division team also won their Nevada State title by defeating Silverado Little League out of Henderson, Nevada.

Congratulations to all three teams and job well done representing our community.
