Aliyah is a 10-year-old 4th grader at Yerington Elementary School. She loves participating in sports & loves to write. This story is about Aliyah’s combination of hard work, dedication and talent that add up to her All Star Athletic Performance!
Aliyah plays Rez Ball every year & runs with a Carson team. She has been awarded MVP (Most Valuable Player) and All Stars in her basketball tournaments! This young lady was only 3-years-old when she first stepped on the court!

Aliyah plays volleyball & was even playing UP as a 4th grader with the 5th/6th graders!
This is Aliyah’s first year pitching & she’s performed above & beyond her years: She is playing with the majors when her age group is minors!

Aliyah’s mother reports, “She is a pretty outstanding student as well. She just kicks butt in all she does & I am so proud of her. I moved here when I was 9 from Phoenix, Arizona. Aliyah’s father is Keith Loving-Gullatt who is from Schurz, Nevada.
“Aliyah is also part of the Walker River Paiute Tribe & she dances in powwows!

“Her step dad, Luis Rodriguez, has been huge in her achievements in sports. He moved to Yerington when he was 6 months old from Mexico, and baseball was his passion when he was younger.
“Aliyah also just tried out for All-Stars softball, so we’ll be doing that next because I’m pretty sure she made the team!”
Did we mention that Aliyah plays soccer as well?! Aliyah & friend at an AYSO game:
