Traffic Collision at 95A East and Muller Lane in Poverty Flats Claims Life of Local Man

***Update***08/29/2021: Mason Valley resident Mark Evans who worked at Dotty’s Casino in Yerington tragically passed away as a result of this collision. One of his daughters, Kristin Smith, has opened a gofundme page to assist in the costs for Mark Evans Memorial and Celebration of Life.

08/28/2021: At about 5:30pm on Saturday, August 28th, 2021 Lyon County Sheriff’s Office posted: “Units are responding to HWY 95a/Muller lane in Yerington for a motor vehicle accident. Both lanes of travel are blocked. Please avoid the area and yield to emergency vehicles.”

Muller Lane is located off of Highway 95A East. It it between the Country Sunflower and Copper Hills Bible Church.

Yerington/Mason Valley Fire District Rescue and Ambulance volunteers responded, as well as Nevada Highway Patrol, Lyon County Sheriff’s Deputies, and Tribal Officers.
