Earlier on May 12, 2026, the The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office wrote: “We have been made aware of a bomb threat involving all schools in Lyon County. At this time, we do not believe there is any active danger, but we are taking this situation very seriously.

“Deputies and additional resources have been dispatched to our schools as a precaution.”
