Walker River Paiute Economic Development Authority Announces Appointment of Brian Wadsworth to Board of Directors

Schurz, NV — November 12, 2025 — The Walker River Paiute Economic Development Authority (WRPEDA) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Wadsworth to the board.

Mr. Wadsworth brings to WRPEDA a distinguished background in public media, finance, and tribal economic development, adding strategic strength to the Authority’s leadership team.

Brian Wadsworth currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for Native Public Media, where he has led policy advocacy, fundraising efforts for tribal public media, and financial management for an array of tribal and state organizations. He holds leadership roles as Treasurer of the American Indigenous Tourism Association and Commissioner for the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Tax Commission, and previously managed executive branch audits for the State of Nevada Governor’s Finance Office.

Mr. Wadsworth received dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Nevada, Reno, and earned his MBA in American Indian Entrepreneurship from Gonzaga University.

“Brian’s experience and dedication to tribal progress align perfectly with our mission,” said the Board Chair of WRPEDA. “His expertise in finance, governance, and economic development will be invaluable as we advance opportunities for the Walker River Paiute Tribe.”

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Brian is active in the arts and athletics, performing with the Firebird Light Opera Company and participating in marathon events. He resides in northern Nevada with his partner and three beloved pets.
