Obituary for Helen Kay Leveille: October 25, 1942 to September 6, 2025

Our beloved family matriarch Helen Kay Leveille, age 82, passed away in Sparks, Nevada on September 6, 2025 from complications of a stroke.

Helen was born in Elko Nevada on October 25, 1942. As a child she moved with her family to Smith Valley where she graduated from Smith Valley High School and married her high school sweetheart, William E. Leveille. Helen was a devoted and faithful wife to her husband for over 57 years. She is preceded in death by William, who passed away in December 2018.

Helen had three sons who were her pride and joy: William Edward Leveille, Jr. and wife Kathleen of Virginia Beach, VA; John Robert Leveille and wife Rebecca of Loomis, CA; and Donald Allen Leveille and wife Shelley of Winnemucca, NV. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Justine Leveille Pasion–Caiani(Adam), Andrew William Leveille, Renae Ann Oliver(Reece), Brian Robert Leveille, Joshua Donald Leveille, and Makayla Ann Leveille, and five great-grandchildren: Zoey, Leo, Aaron, Emerson and baby girl on the way! She especially enjoyed frequent phone and FaceTime conversations with the entire family.

Helen will always be remembered as one the most optimistic and positive people you could ever meet. She never complained about anything that life threw her way. Helen was a two-time breast cancer survivor and always offered inspiration and help to others who were going through a similar diagnosis. While their children were growing up in Sparks, Helen and Bill, generously donated many hours and labor to their sons’ sports, schools and various activities. After retirement, they continued helping and socializing with family and friends living nearby in Smith Valley and Yerington where they lived out their retirement.

Helen loved her dogs, horses, and the outdoors. She will always be remembered for her summer barbecues which traditionally ended with a big water fight! She was a wonderful homemaker and wife, hunter, fisherwoman, camper, reader and loved playing cards/games. She enjoyed just about anything that involved her sons and their families.
Rest in peace Mom, your love and positive attitude will live on through many generations.

There will be a small private family service.  Family and friends are invited to sign her online guest book at www.FRFH.net
