Lyon County School District Celebrates a Strong Start to the 2025–26 School Year

Lyon County, NV — The Lyon County School District (LCSD) is off to an exciting start as students, staff, and families return for the 2025–26 school year. The district is celebrating a smooth first week, made possible by the dedication and preparation of teachers, staff, and administrators working together to ensure a positive beginning for all students.

LCSD Superintendent Tim Logan shared his enthusiasm for the year ahead:

Our teachers and staff have been engaged in professional development, our buildings and classrooms are ready, and safety procedures are in place to support both learning and well-being. Joining the district this year, Deputy Superintendent Dr. Griffin-Copper expressed excitement about becoming part of the LCSD community and shared her passion for the school year ahead:

Early fall is my favorite time of year with the daily buzz of school buses driving our streets, student traffic to and from school with their backpacks and school supplies, Friday night football games, and the cooler temperatures.
