The Lyon County Fair and Rodeo began last night! Our Lyon County Fair Board and County staff work extremely hard in preparation for this great event! Lyon County Sheriff’s Office inmate work crews and community volunteers have been working diligently to clean up the fairgrounds in preparation.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is taking an active role in participating in this great event. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office had our SWAT vehicle available on kids’ night for the youth to climb all over! The SWAT Deputies said it looked like a “herd” of ants swarming the vehicle!

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office will also have a booth inside the large metal barn where we will be handing out “swag” and continuing our employee recruitment campaign. Click the ticket link below to see the event times.

We have had many suggestions regarding our inmate work crews and areas around the County that need help with cleanup. If you are part of a service organization or municipality and need help cleaning up a community area, please reach out. The inmate work crews are available to assist in cleanup projects countywide and will operate in conjunction with any effort.
