As of Friday, August 1, 2025, the Nevada Legal Services office in Yerington will permanently close. While we recognize the value of a physical office, a combination of factors has led us to restructure how we continue to serve and meet the needs of Yerington residents and the greater Lyon County community. What remains unchanged is our commitment to ensuring access to justice for all.
There will be no reduction in services. NLS will continue providing free civil legal assistance in Yerington and the surrounding area through a variety of remote and in-person options:
- Virtual and telephonic consultations and support.
- Ask-a-Lawyer events.
- Regular visits to community centers.
- Self-Help Legal Kiosks are available at all 5 Lyon County Libraries.

We’d like to give a heartfelt thank you to Donna McDonald for her years of dedicated service to the Yerington community. We are deeply grateful for the trust and support the Yerington community has shown us over the years. As we move into this new phase, we remain focused on providing critical legal assistance to those who need it the most.
