Misty Stevens reported of Kutoven Steven: “Remembrance Run 2025; Ku is running away from Stewart this morning, to honor those children who ran, who survived, and those who never made it home from Indian boarding schools. Just him again this year, as bringing Paige Bethmann’s Remaining Native documentary to communities has kept us too busy to plan the full-on Run. We know your hearts are yearning to join Ku, maybe next year we can manage the community Run, but for now please send your strong prayers in however way you pray for Ku and the children. 50 miles to home!”

“Ku started from Stewart at 7am and just completed the 50 miles to Yerington at 4:20pm. Thank you to everyone who kept him in your thoughts today as he ran for the children. I’m so proud of him and thankful for the light he carries.” – Misty
Kutoven’s home is in sight. 50 miles today. Stewart Indian School is behind him and behind his grandfather Frank ‘Togo’ Quinn who made the journey when he was the tender age of 8 years.
