Hudbay’s Mason Project, located in Lyon County, Nevada, is poised to become a vital domestic source of this essential material.

In 2024, the U.S. imported nearly half of the copper it consumed. The Mason Project has the potential to supply up to 7% of the nation’s total demand, helping strengthen America’s supply chain and support its national security.

Locally, the Mason Project represents long-term opportunity. As development progresses, it’s expected to create well-paying jobs, boost local businesses, and generate tax revenue to support schools, infrastructure, and essential services in Lyon County.
