Shane Martin moved to Yerington, Nevada 16 years ago from Reno. He and his wife, Desiree, are active in the community events and organizations as they raise their 4 busy sons.
Shane has been a Yerington City Councilman since 2019, as well as serving on the Regional Transportation Commission and Debt Management Board for Lyon County. His other community activities include involvement in youth sports, currently as Yerington High School Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach and Junior Varsity Assistant Baseball Coach. During the Covid pandemic, Shane served as the president for the YHS Pride/Booster Club.
As a youth in Reno, Shane graduated from Robert McQueen High School. He joined the work force and began a family. And now Shane is earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business while juggling work and family.
4 months ago, Shane became a Licensed Agent with New York Life, already earning “Agent of the Month” in addition to other milestones with the company. Shane states that, “I am here to help families and businesses protect their futures and build financial security.
