WRLL: Jaidyn Pellegrini-Butler Drives In Many Batters As River Cats Lose To Banshees on 4.17.25

Jaidyn Pellegrini-Butler drove in five on three hits, but River Cats fell to Banshees 27-16 on Thursday.

Despite the loss, River Cats did collect nine hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Banshee’s had 10 hits on the way to victory.

River Cats opened the scoring in the first after Pellegrini-Butler singled, scoring two runs.

River Cats added one run in the second. Banshee’s committed an error, making the score 3-1.

Banshee’s flipped the game on its head in the top of the third, scoring seven runs on two hits to take the lead, 8-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a triple by Asaya Sanchez following a 6-pitch at-bat that drove in three.

Banshee’s scored six runs on four hits in the top of the fourth inning. Katalena Summerfield singled, scoring one run, Khloe Poleviyuma drew a walk, scoring one run, and Sanchez hit a grand slam to center field.

River Cats scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the fifth inning. Pellegrini-Butler singled, scoring two runs, Aaliyah Rodriguez doubled, scoring two runs, and Zophia Guerrero singled, scoring one run.

Banshee’s scored nine runs on one hit in the top of the sixth inning. Naya Crowl drew a walk, scoring one run, Angel Williams drew a walk, scoring one run, Nhylah Guzman drew a walk, scoring one run, Saydee Whistler drew a walk, scoring one run, Cailyah Murphy drew a walk, scoring one run, Gabriella Sanchez drew a walk, scoring one run, Poleviyuma was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Sanchez was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.

Whistler earned the win for Banshee’s. The pitcher gave up five hits and nine runs (six earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking six.
