Lyon County, NV – Lyon County Human Services (LCHS) is dedicated to improving the accessibility and impact of its services, particularly those focused on preventing child abuse and neglect. Through a range of programs, LCHS works to prevent child abuse and support families, with a strong emphasis on strengthening and preserving family units by offering vital resources and educational opportunities.
Child Abuse Prevention Month is observed every April to raise awareness about child abuse and neglect and promote the importance of protecting children.
The month emphasizes the importance of creating safe, supportive environments for children. The blue ribbon is often used as a symbol of child abuse prevention, and events, campaigns, and programs are organized to spread knowledge and encourage community action. The community can also show support by wearing blue.
Child Abuse Prevention Month also provides an opportunity to highlight resources and services available to children and families in need, and to encourage people to get involved in protecting vulnerable children.
