Obituary for Bonnie Rose Garry: February 6, 1951 to March 11, 2025

On Tuesday, March 11th, 2025 Bonnie Rose Garry quietly passed away in her Yerington, Nevada home at the age of 74.

She was born at the Terminal Island Naval Hospital in Long Beach, California on February 6, 1951 to Fred and Blanche (Stockman) Gunzelman. She married John J. Garry on May 25, 1975. She leaves behind her husband, two sons, Steven Bondy of Apache Junction, AZ and John P. Garry (daughter in law Amy) of Long Beach, CA; two grandchildren, Kiersten and Cullen Garry; sister, Susan Battit; brother-in-law, Christopher Garry; several nieces and nephews. Bonnie was preceded by two of her sisters, Sally and Nancy.

Bonnie dedicated her life to the safety of others as a security guard in the Southern California area for many years before she found the charm of Yerington, Nevada. She chose to spend her golden years as a resident of the town for the last 10 years. She made lasting friendships with members of the community. Bonnie prided herself on her cooking, and was delighted to see others enjoy her latest creations. Her bright smile will be missed by those who knew her.

A memorial service is planned for April 12, 2025 at 11:00 am., which will be held at Community United Methodist Church located at 221 N.  Main St, Yerington, Nevada. Family and friends are invited to sign her online guest book at www..FRFH.net
