Lyon County Human Services Launches Community Survey & Listening Sessions to Improve Access to Services

YERINGTON, NV – Lyon County Human Services (LCHS) is seeking community input through a new survey aimed at understanding and addressing barriers that may prevent eligible residents from accessing vital services.

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance service delivery, LCHS is encouraging individuals who may qualify for services but are not currently utilizing them to share their insights. The brief, 5-minute survey is designed to gather feedback on potential obstacles and identify opportunities for improvement.

We are committed to ensuring everyone in Lyon County has access to the support they need. This survey will help us better understand the challenges people face and guide us in making services more accessible and effective.

Community organizations, service providers, and residents are encouraged to share the survey widely with those who may benefit from LCHS services. A flyer, complete with a QR code linking to the survey, is also available for distribution.

Lyon County Human Services Hosts Listening Sessions to Improve Service Accessibility

Lyon County, NV – Lyon County Human Services (LCHS) is committed to enhancing the accessibility and effectiveness of its services. As part of its ongoing efforts to better understand the needs of eligible individuals who have not yet utilized these services, LCHS will be conducting a series of listening sessions in Silver Springs, Mound House, Silver City, and Yerington.

These listening sessions aim to gather valuable insights into the challenges faced by individuals when accessing services and to identify opportunities for improvement. By listening to the voices of those who may not currently be engaged with LCHS, the organization hopes to strengthen its support systems and ensure that its programs are more inclusive and effective.

Listening Session Schedule:

  • Silver Springs: March 18th @ 5:00 PM, Community Center – Dinner will be provided
  • Mound House: March 25th @ 5:00 PM, Community Center – Dinner will be provided
  • Silver City: March 25th @ 7:00 PM, School House – Desserts will be provided
  • Yerington: March 26th @ 5:00 PM, Boys and Girls Club – Dinner will be provided

LCHS invites all eligible individuals, especially those who have not yet accessed their services, to attend these sessions. The feedback gathered will play a crucial role in identifying service gaps and opportunities to improve the county’s support systems.
