On Sunday, March 2, 2025, Ronald E Travillion Sr. passed away at home with his loving wife by his side.
Ronald was born November 5, 1948 in Houston, Texas, the son of John and Laura Travillion.
Ron served his country proudly as a Senior Chief Petty Officer in the Navy for twenty-year. Through the term of his career he was stationed aboard the John F. Kennedy Aircraft Carrier in Norfolk, Virginia, the Miramar Naval Air-station, the USS Sperry (AS-12), the Hepburn (FF-1055), the Surface Warfare Schools Command (SWSC) NTC, and at the end of his military career, he retired from the USS William H Standley (CG-32) guided missile cruiser. Ron continued serving the public as a Lead Custodian with the Temecula Valley School District for fourteen years. He was a hardworking family man and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother, and sister. Ronald is survived by his wife Millie; his three children, Loretta Sell (Stacey Sell), Ronald Travillion Jr., and Shannon Jones (Paul Jones); his 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sisters/brothers-n-law; and numerous nieces & nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Northern Nevada National Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to sign his online guest book at www.FRFH.net
