Notice of Passing for Charlotte Evans, February 2025

On February 28, 2025, Bob Evans, Yerington High School graduate in the 1970s with deep roots in the community wrote:

“It is with a heavy heart and great sadness to announce that my mom passed away a few days ago.

As many of you know, mom/nana was a very special one of a kind woman. Her strength, courage, and compassion to her family and friends was amazing. It is with comfort to know that she has now joined my Dad in heaven.

Rest in peace Mama- miss you already.”

In 2019, Bob wrote of his father (Bob Evans Sr.):

“It has been about three weeks now, but I have heard that some may have not heard of my Dad’s recent passing. He passed away on January 21, 2019 and was buried at the Northern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Fernley.

He was my best friend and I want to thank all the people from Yerington who has reached out to offer their support. He loved living in Weed Heights and then in Yerington. He was proud of his work at Anaconda from 1959 until it’s closure. RIP Dad- until we meet again.”
