Health Fair in Yerington Attracts Crowd to Meet Providers and Donate Blood

Dozens of people filed into the Pioneer Crossing Convention Center in Yerington on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from as early as 6:30am to 3:00 in the afternoon for the Health Fair sponsored by South Lyon Medical Center.

Participants were greeted by Alyce Reese, Ronnie Weir-Cooley, and Scott Huntley who are 3 of the 7 South Lyon Health Center, Inc. Board of Directors, along with 2 non-voting Board Members Toni Inserra (CEO of South Lyon Medical Center) and Kaleb Wartgow (Chief of Medical Staff).

Paramedic Mike C. and Registered Nurse Brad K. from Battle Born Medevac were in attendance until they were called out for a medical flight transportation.

Mechele and Lynn representing Life Choices: the Center on Main Street Yerington, across from the Methodist Church, will hold an open house on Saturday, November 9th. They invite you to stop in.

While Scott was receiving a blood pressure check up, nearby residents were generously donating pints of blood to Vitalant for patients in need.

The Annual South Lyon Medical Center Health Fair was a great opportunity for participants to schedule primary care appointments, donate blood, have vitals checked, learn about community resources, and more!
