Yerington, Nevada ~ The Lions Clubhouse on the corner of Van Ness and West Streets in Yerington was filled with over 40 members of the Retired Public Employees of Nevada on December 12, 2023 for the annual Christmas Potluck, gift exchange, and information updates.
Local RPEN members welcomed Elaine Steiner + from the Washoe Chapter; Lynne Ballatore, Nevada’s State RPEN President; and Terri Laird, Executive Director of RPEN.
Public Employees are encouraged to join RPEN while they are still working or as they begin retirement. RPEN members assist each other in navigating the challenging decisions to be made individually for PERS Public Employees Retirement System, PEBP Public Employees Benefits Program, etc.
RPEN also utilizes it’s collective voice during Nevada Legislative Sessions to safeguard PERS and PEBP benefits.
The next meeting for Bi-Valley RPEN will be on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024 at 8:30am at the Yerington Lions Club, 7 N. West Street.
