YAPS Yerington Animal Protection Society Hosted Santa Pet Pictures on December 2nd

Yerington, Nevada ~ One leashed-dog after another arrived at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Mason Valley’s gymnasium on Saturday morning and early afternoon to have their photograph taken with Jolly Old St. Nicholas. Some of the well-behaved pups even allowed their humans to enter the pictures.

Yerington Animal Protection Society volunteers reported that a steady stream of humans and dogs participated in this much-anticipated event that began at 8a.m. and ended at 1p.m..

This is Mason Valley Santa’s 24th year in red. Robin Rosaschi reported that he wore his special suit for pets…He wears a spiffier one for children. Santa Robin hopes to be participating in his 25th year in 2024, but reported that he must have a knee replaced first due to his many past trips flying around the world on his sleigh.

Proceeds from the Santa Pet Pictures event will go toward spay, neuter, vaccination, and travel (to Lahontan Veterinary Clinic) expenses. Yerington Shelter Volunteer and Friends of the Yerington Animal Shelter all pitch in daily to help our community canines.

Santa Pet Pictures with YAPS is participating in the 2nd Annual Small Town Christmas hosted by the Yerington Chamber of Commerce.
