Madeleine Marie Knight : March 6, 1952 to September 11, 2023

Madeleine Marie Knight passed away at her home in Yerington after a long battle with cancer on Monday, September 11, 2023.  She was 71.

Madeleine was born in Globe, Arizona on March 6, 1952 the daughter of Francis and Wanda (Beeman) Flood.  Madeleine served 21 years in the United States Air Force, she was a Master Sergeant and had retired in 1993.

After her service in USAF, she became very involved in the Yerington Community.  She a member of the VFW, Yerington Red Hat Society, Girls Scouts, Community Angel Tree, Yerington Community Food Pantry, and Alive.  She contributed to the Community Cares Program.  She volunteered to all of these programs not for herself but to help others, she always gave it her all and put her heart and soul into everything.

She is survived by her two daughters, Milena Urc and Michelle Knight and her grandson, Orion; also several brothers and sisters.

Her graveside service with Military Honors will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the Valley View Cemetery,  In lieu of Flowers donations may be made in her name to the Community Cares Program, PO Box 1271 Yerington, Nevada 89447.  (This program provides gas cards to cancer families that need to travel out of town for medical treatment.)
