On February 1, 2022, at the age of 78, Vernon Lee Miller went to be with the Lord. Vernon was born on May 14th, 1943.
He and his wife, Sue were married for 32 years. Sue was a native of Yerington. The couple lived here for 30 years and made many friends.
After his wife passed, in 2018, he was lost. Devastated and alone Vernon turned to God and asked “What do I do now”. He got his answer, “help the people”.
Vernon was the founder of Helping Hands for Senior’s. He spent the rest of his days helping people. The volunteers that helped him are still going trying to keep his dream alive.
Vernon Miller was not just our President, he was our friend. He will be missed.
