Mary was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on November 10, 1917 the daughter of Candio and Georgia (Thomas) Correia. Her family moved to California in 1924. She moved with her family to Reno, Nevada in 1933 where she graduated from Reno High School in 1935.
Mary went to work for Nevada Bell where she worked as a personal assistant until she retired in 1975. She had married Mike Cicchise and he had passed away in 1959. She then married Jack Hadwin and after living in Tuscarora, Nevada they moved to Yerington in 1981.
She belonged to many organizations and clubs. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and had been a member of the St. Anne’s guild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Ernestine, husband Jack Hadwin. She is survived by her brother, Lefty Serpa; and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by many many friends.
A memorial service will be 1:00 pm Sunday, February 20, 2022 at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, 25 Hwy 208 Yerington. Her cremains will be buried in the family plot at the Valley View Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to sigh her online guest book at www.FRFH.net
