Valley Off Road Racing Association, better known as VORRA, raced into Yerington, Nevada for Memorial Day Weekend 2021. As of May 28th, 72 entries were recorded for UTV (utility terrain vehicles), desert buggies and desert trucks for VORRA’s Desert Open Series..
Yerington’s race featured 250 miles of twists, turns, bumps, hills, dirt, grit, wind, heat: this race is endurance at its best. But don’t mistake the Mad Max appearance of the vehicles, drivers, and pit crews for reckless carelessness. Safety is paramount and evident in roll bars and helmets aplenty.
If you missed this weekend’s races and Main Street Mad Max Parade, you can anticipate the next one in Yerington/ Mason Valley on September 3-6,2021.
