WBC Conservation Campout @ Walker River : Monarch & Caterpillar Surveys ~ August 26-27

Registration for our next Conservation Campout at Walker River State Recreation Area is now open. On Saturday, August 26th, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in monarch butterfly and caterpillar surveys while viewing these awesome insects in a picturesque setting. Camping fees are waived for participants and families are welcome. Register today to reserve your spot!

Summer is alive and full of life in the Walker Basin! At this August’s Campout, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in monarch butterfly and caterpillar surveys while viewing these awesome insects in a picturesque setting. Participants will also learn about the rich habitat surrounding the Walker River and enjoy a sunset hike to a sweeping view of the park. All Conservation Campout activities will take place August 26th -27th at Walker River State Recreation Area. Camping at the WRSRA is free for this event after registering and families are welcome. Saturday campfire dinner and a Sunday breakfast will also be provided by the Conservancy.
