Yerington NV – December 10, 2025
The spirit of the season was on full display as friends, colleagues, and community members gathered for the annual Bi-Valley RPEN Christmas celebration on December 9, 2025, at the Yerington Lions Clubhouse. Bi-Valley RPEN stands for Mason & Smith Valley Retired Public Employees of Nevada whose main purpose is “Representing public employees of Nevada.” The event brought together members—along with their families and guests—for a mid-day filled with food, laughter, and holiday cheer.
This year’s Christmas potluck showcased the best of Bi-Valley hospitality, with guests arriving with homemade dishes to share. The potluck table quickly became a colorful spread that reflected the warmth and generosity of the group.

Adding to the festive fun, attendees exchanged raffle prizes and took part in a lively gift exchange that sparked plenty of smiles. Members were encouraged to bring non-members as guests, helping to strengthen community bonds and welcome newcomers into the fold.
Organizers President Rita Evasovic, Vice President Dawna Warr, Treasurer Karen Dini, Secretary Nancy Pursel and Publicity Officer June Matheus ensured every detail was thoughtfully planned, creating an atmosphere that felt both joyful and familiar. Their efforts helped set the tone for a memorable gathering that embodied the meaning of friendship and comraderie.
Special guest speakers included PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) Chief Kabrina Feser, Nevada RPEN President Rubin Murillo Jr. and Nevada RPEN Executive Director Terri Laird.

The annual celebration once again reminded everyone just how meaningful it is to spend the season surrounded by those who make our days brighter—friends, colleagues, and community.
