At the regular semi-monthly Lyon County Board of Commissioners Meeting on Thursday, November 20, 2025, the Bureau of Land Management will present an informative Power Point presentation and will answer audience questions.
This presentation will include:
GEOTHERMAL PROJECTS – Mason Valley Geothermal – Ormat;
SOLAR to include – 5778 acre Libra Solar & 2877 acre Mason Valley Solar;
TRANSMISSION & BATTERY STORAGE -Greenlink North Transmission Line extending from Yerington’s Walker Substation to Ely NV;
ANACONDA’S Application submitted by Atlantic Richfield Company (ARC) to purchase 2,062 acres of public lands in and around the Anaconda Copper Mine Site;
Sky Fiber Internet Line – Fiber Installation Project located in Lyon and Carson County, Nevada;
Lahontan Wild Horse Gather Plan – A gather plan for the Lahontan Herd Management Area was approved in July 2025 to reduce wild horse numbers to within the established appropriate management level;
And, Pine Nut Mountains Restoration Projects – In partnership with the Walker Basin Conservancy, the District approved spring/meadow restoration projects at 4 sites in the Pine Nut Mtns.
