Larry Lee Cox Jr. passed away at his home in Yerington, Nevada on February 5, 2026 after a long battle with cancer.
He was born November 14, 1954 in Portland, Oregon to parents Larry Lee Cox, Sr. and Sonia (Wedemeyer) Cox.
Larry met Renee’ Faust when they were 25. It was love at first sight for both. He knew after 3 weeks that he had to make her his wife. They were married May 15, 1982. Their love was like no other. The kind of love that only exists in story books.
Larry enjoyed riding his motorcycle, reading Louis L’Amour books, wood working, 4x4ing in the desert and tinkering in his garage. His favorite hobby was picking on the people he loved. Larry was known for his wicked sense of humor, story telling abilities and his cool level head. He was a father figure to many.

Larry was a veteran having served in both the Army and Navy in his twenties.
Larry is survived by his wife, Renee’; children – Lance (spouse Jeannie), Katreena, Larry III & Bethany (spouse Brandon); grandchildren – Lexine, Dante, Charlie, Henry, Brayden, Michelle, Zander & Alice; and his great grandchildren – Lionel & Brielle.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Larry Lee Cox, Sr. and Sonia (Wedemeyer) Cox.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in his name to the Veterans Guest House, 880 Locust Street Reno, Nevada 89502. Without the Veteran’s Guest House, Larry would not have been able to fight his battle
