Celebrating Our 2025 Junior Achievement Community Champion: Jerry Bryant!
Please join us in recognizing Jerry Bryant, City Manager of Yerington, as Junior Achievement’s 2025 Community Champion! Jerry is an incredible leader, mentor, and advocate for youth financial literacy in Lyon County.
Deeply committed to the future of Yerington’s students, Jerry integrated Junior Achievement’s Personal Finance Curriculum into classrooms at Yerington High School, ensuring all juniors and seniors are prepared for real-world financial decisions. He didn’t stop there—Jerry also recruited and trained community volunteers to help facilitate these impactful lessons.
Jerry has gone above and beyond, meeting with the Yerington Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, school administrators, and more to rally support for Junior Achievement. Working alongside Junior Achievement staff, he successfully championed a school board vote to bring Junior Achievement programs to every school in Lyon County—a major win for local students
We are especially excited that Jerry will be mentoring Yerington Middle School students as they prepare to compete in Junior Achievement’s BizTank competition at our upcoming Luncheon on October 17. The students are led by Principal Mr. Gillespie, and we can’t wait to see their ideas shine with Jerry’s support.
Whether in the classroom, the city office, or the community, Jerry Bryant strives every day to make Yerington a better place for future generations.
Help us celebrate Jerry’s dedication to education, leadership, and community spirit at Junior Achievement’s Leaders and Legend Luncheon on October 17th!
