2025 Lyon County Fair, Rodeo & Silver State Livestock Expo: A Celebration of Community Spirit & Western Heritage, August 14-17

Every year, families and friends eagerly anticipate the arrival of the Lyon County Fair, Rodeo & Silver State Livestock Expo in Yerington, Nevada on the 3rd weekend of August—an event that has become an enduring tradition in northern Nevada. The 2025 edition, held from August 14th to 17th, was no exception. Drawing in crowds both local and from afar, the fairgrounds buzzed with excitement, laughter, and the unmistakable aroma of fair food. The community came together, celebrating rural life, agricultural achievements, and the enduring spirit of rural life in Nevada.

Arrival and Atmosphere

From the opening morning, the fairgrounds in Lyon County were transformed. Rows of colorful banners welcomed guests at the main entrance as they walked along food vendor boulevard.

A beloved staple, the parade entries traveled north on Main Street from Bridge St. to Yerington City Hall on Goldfield Avenue on Saturday morning.
