The journey of copper from the depths of the earth to the intricate cabling powering our modern world is a testament to human ingenuity and engineering prowess. This transformative process, known as mine-to-cable, was exemplified during the Southwest Critical Materials tour of the Pumpkin Hollow project—a site that encapsulates the evolution of copper from its raw, unrefined state to a critical component in the global energy and technology infrastructure.
