Y.I.S. 8th Grade Graduation Featuring Co-Valedictorians Dakota Frazier & Isaiah Nuñez with Salutatorian Clarisa G. Alvarez

On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, the 8th grade class of Yerington Intermediate School attended their Eighth Grade Promotion Ceremony, also known for decades to locals as the annual “8th Grade Graduation”.

Co-Valedictorian Dakota Fraizer: During his time at YIS Dakota participated in Student Council, 3 years of Academic Olympics earning the 2025 championship, 2 years at the  NV State Spelling Bee, and 3 years of Track & Field. He took advanced math at the high school and was able to maintain a 4.0 GPA! Here is Dakota:

Co-Valedictorian Isaiah Nuñez: During his time at YIS he has participated in cross country, track, wrestling, basketball, student council, band, was a member of Jr. National Honor Society, played baseball for WRLL, Desert Fish swim team and soccer for AYSO. Isaiah has maintained a 4.0 GPA! Here is Isaiah:

Salutatorian Clarisa Alvarez : During her time at YIS she has participated in basketball, volleyball, track, honor society, student council, band, yearbook, AYSO soccer, and softball for WRLL. Clarissa has maintained a 3.9 GPA! Here is Clarisa:
