May16, 2025 in Silver Springs NV – Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources reported:
Today, we helped dedicate a new historic plaque at Lahontan State Recreation Area, honoring Williams Station—a 1800s trading post along the California Emigrant Trail.

Though the site was flooded by the Lahontan Dam in 1915, this new marker helps keep that important piece of Nevada history alive!
