NITC Enthusiasts are Pulling Into Mason Valley Through Yerington: Miller Lane Closed to Festival Traffic

Country music-loving visitors are streaming into Mason Valley, Nevada via the town of Yerington for NITC Night In The Country 2024 at the new & permanent site, The Grange.

The 1st acts begin on Thursday, July 25th and run through Saturday, July 27th,  but plans started over a year ago for 2024’s music festival. And plans for The Grange began years ago.

Traffic controls were already in place on Wednesday, July 24th at the 4-way stop near Yerington City Hall at Main & Goldfield with 2 flaggers on duty directing flow.

Raley’s Supermarket parking lot was filling with trucks pulling trailers: customers buying ice and supplies.

Festival-goers want to get to their campsites early to set up for the extensive social networks they’ve developed over the years. NITC 2024’s theme is 1864. So there should be some creative & interesting encampments.

Returning visitors frequently comment on the hospitality of the locals in Mason Valley. Many of these same people are happy to take part in supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley.

So, while the locals take some creative side streets to get around town these next few days, the NITC visitors will be driving through town; setting up camp, enjoying friends, music, food & drink until it’s “Another one in the books” on Sunday.
