Yerington, Nevada ~ On Thursday, February 16, 2023 dozens of children and community members gathered to witness the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley’s official ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the opening of the much-anticipated E. L. Wiegand Early Learning Center located at 230 N. Main Street in Yerington.
This project began in October of 2019 and is now ready for occupancy. The Early Learning Center will serve infants through pre-school age children, adding much-needed licensed childcare openings to Mason Valley families. The Center is already at capacity with 52 of Yerington’s youngest scholars scheduled to attend.
Speakers at the ribbon-cutting ceremony included Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley CEO Travis Crowder, Board President Victor Parker and Director of Early Learning Kelly Crowder.
Local elected officials, representatives from multiple giving foundations, preschoolers and families were all in attendance.
