Richard Shifflet, 75, of Dayton Still Missing Since October 3rd When He Left His Home for a Walk

10/21/2022 Press Release from Lyon County Sheriff’s Office:

On October 3, 2022 Richard Shifflet (a Dayton resident), had left for a walk and had not been seen by family members since. Lyon County Search and Rescue had searched the area where Richard was last seen and areas where he was reported to frequent. Search and Rescue has been searching since that time with no signs of Richard. There are no signs of foul play at this time.

Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is, again, asking the public’s assistance in locating Richard. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and possibly a black t-shirt. Richard is a 75 year old white male, 5’6” tall; around 174 pound with blonde hair (balding) and blue eyes. A photo of Richard is attached.
