Elwin Ralph “Twitch” Rundle passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022, two months short of his 90th birthday!

Twitch was born in Wells, Nevada, on May 15, 1932, to Ralph and Wilda Rundle. He graduated from Wells High School in 1948 and played six-man football for his Wells High Leopards; which he was very proud of.

After graduating from high school, he worked for the Nevada State Highway Department while also getting married and starting a family. He then started working for the Anaconda Copper Co. and moved to Weed Heights, NV, (near Yerington) in 1953. Twitch, initially, worked in the assay office until becoming a metallurgist. Twitch worked for Anaconda 23 years, until he in retired in 1976.

He later relocated from Yerington to Sparks, NV, where he met and married his current wife of 30 years, Sharon Best Rundle.

Twitch loved camping and was excellent at singing cowboy songs!  He often sang these songs while “playing” on his tractor maintaining their camping property near Loyalton, CA. He also loved horses and attending the Elko Co. Horse Races every year with numerous members of his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his baby brother, Kenny Rundle; his brother, Deon Rundle; his sister, Lettie “Sis” Shelton; and his brother, Dick Duvall.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; three sons, Rodney, Randy & Keith Rundle; three step-children, Rochelle, Alan & Blaine Best; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.

Elwin, as his mother called him, was a member of the LDS church.

A small graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery on Friday, March 11, 2022, at 10 A.M. followed by a reception at the LDS Church on McCarran & Rock Blvds. in Sparks.
